Bethel Baptist Church

Bethel Baptist Church (BBC) ministers to inmates in Mukobeko Maximum Security, Medium Security and Female Correctional Facilities in Kabwe, Zambia, which house more than 2,000 inmates. BBC shares the gospel with inmates and disciples those who have come to faith. According to reports in Zambia, the prison is very overcrowded. Life is extremely tough for the prisoners. We can’t really say more than that or use photos.

E3’s partnership helps support the evangelism and discipleship activities and …

  • provides necessities like soap and toothpaste to over 200 prisoners, as well as books and other materials to those who are studying whilst in prison.

  • supports the children of 5 inmates through Back to School.

  • helps 10 released inmates to reintegrate into the community by helping them start a small business.

  • funded the renovation of the prison chapel to create a more comfortable space for worship.

  • Grant from E3: £10,000

E3 funding renovated and provided chairs for the prison chapel. The prison ministry is transforming many lives. When Maria was released she received funds to set up a small business – she is now employing two people, reaching out to help others and has even taken back custody of her two children.

We are blessed this afternoon because Bethel Baptist Church has just brought lunch to share with the inmates. It’s a blessed day indeed because they have remembered us. You can be neglected physically, but spiritually we are together with our Lord. Thank you Jesus.
