Bridgepoint Foundation

Bridgepoint Foundation helps people who live in abject poverty in two high density shantytowns (Bauleni and Chilenje) in Lusaka, Zambia. It seeks to empower young adults, parents and leaders to bring positive and lasting change to their communities. The two shantytowns have a population of 350,000 people, most of whom are unemployed and face extreme poverty and a daily struggle to survive. People live in poor makeshift housing and do not have access to basic services like water, sanitation and electricity. When the Bridgepoint team shares God’s love and gospel message in word and action it creates hope and lets people know they are seen and loved.

E3’s partnership is:

  • Providing food parcels to over 100 of the neediest families and sharing the gospel with them to show God’s love and hope. Providing basic food items means the little money they have can be spent on other vital needs like shelter and medical costs.

  • Supporting people living with HIV and affected by AIDS through education and health and nutrition support.

  • Enabling economic activities to help women earn an income through microfinance and sewing projects.

  • Grant from E3: £3,000

Pastor Siseho Minyoi leads the project.

“The word of God has encouraged me at this meeting. I did not expect that at the end, I would receive another food parcel, which will be a great help to my family. I am very grateful for what I have received, and I am hopeful that you will not stop here. I hope that you will continue to be a blessing to many others. You can see that some of the people that came are very vulnerable, and others are old in age. I pray for God’s blessings upon you all. God has used you (E3) to be a blessing to others.”
